Laptop hard drive on desktop build (Node 202)

Will laptop hard drive work with desktop PSU? Will it damage or will it just run fine? Can't afford 1TB SSD to store game on my Node 202.

Yes laptop hard drives work fine with desktop PSUs. It uses the same connectors. Won't cause any damage. I pulled out the 750GB 2.5" WD Blue from my old HP laptop to put in my PC to store games.

Your laptop hard drive might be 5400rpm which would be slightly slower than a 7200rpm drive.

Do keep in mind that your mounting hardware must support them.

But if you have dedicated SSD mounts it fits in there too.

5400RPM boots slower and is a bit slower in day to day use.
