Linus PLs Look at The Indian market

  1. 1. Should Linus review the Indian market

  2. 2. Should Linus Create A budget PC build Guide for India ?

  3. 3. Should Linus do a scrapyard wars in India ?

I really think Linus must discover the Computer Markets of Developing countries . Do you also Think like this then you must agree how difficult it is to make a PC in India where finding budget parts is really very hard and the people who are selling it have no knowledge about the parts they are selling  . This is the case with me also as I the biggest regret I have in my life is to ask my father to buy a MacBook for me . Absolutely if Linus does a colaberation with Indian tech youtubers this will be a great boost to the LTT community .

Well, I think they're going to always account towards what the majority of what their userbase is. I assume LTT's is probably USA/Canada.

I think it would definitely be interesting to see coverage of another country's market though as a random video at some point. I'd watch it.

I think the budget pc build guide probably should be left to an actual indian/native youtuber though. They would know the market firsthand and such after all. That'd be much better than having a non-native of the country do it imo.

Scrapyard Wars in another country would be pretty interesting also but I don't really see it happening. I'd watch it though, long as they make mention of the currency conversion (preferably anyway) for viewers to follow along and have a idea of what their spending.

Yeah like we can call around 140 countries as developing countries and OP goes like India is all that exists :P

Don't try to hide specificity in generalizing.

hi ,

Ryan ,  I understand your thoughts very well . But I think Linus as trusted source could boost his fanbase in India . As well as if a scrapyard wars is hosted In India the second hand market is huge as well as doing it with youtubers in India will again boost his fanbase .

It would be a rather tough undertaking for a western reviewer to even begin looking into a foreign market in South-East Asia. Also there won't be much to review or even incentive I think. I'm not sure of the exact numbers, but I doubt they have a huge following in the region as compared to their viewers in western markets.

Also, basically products marked up due to import tariffs etc. would be all they have to say about mainstream products. You'd be much better off asking a local reviewer or hey, even start your own channel if you think there is a lack of good content for your market.

Don't get me wrong I'd love to see him visit India, just think it's improbable.

Hi Candace ,

IF you internet connectivity go and use a currency converter to see how over priced things are in India . Secondly this might be irrelevant but India has one highest economy growth . You also must realise how big  a second hand market is India . As well as a beastly scrapyard would be possible in India .

hi

I respect all your views .

But I don't think that there is any youtube in India who has as great knowledge as Linus and other sources are not at all reliable . just see this video from a top  revier from a tech youtube in India . Go through the whole video tell me do think that this comprehensive for you to spend 1500 dollars on it .

and to answer you all I never asked Linus to do it all himself I just wanted to have a foreign guide on the Indian Market with the help of a experienced Indian so that Indian market has good competition in turn creating a push for reviews for certain components and their pricing in India .

Videos about Linus (pretending) to feel sad about high part prices around the world? Videos about Linus feeling sad because people don't all have lambo's? Linus browsing some countries prices and comparing them to US/CA? Sound really boring. He could do trip to said country and see how markets are. But other than that, all such videos would be boring. Its better than someone local makes channel and produces content to local viewers. And talking about India, there would be local viewers to fill that 500k mark easily.

He doesn't even do a lot in terms of pricing for his Canadian countrymen. Don't think India would be on the table for the foreseeable future.

In the EU it's also really bad, $1580 for the iphone x 256gb, india isn't the only market with high prices

And China is what just a some tiny country to be ignored? They are considered "developing" too.

What about all the other countries as well that are considered developing and have fast economic growth rates?
