Forum rules don't allow eBay links but there are currently a motherload of 2683, 2698, 2699 and 2695 chips from what appears to be a decommissioned server. Running from 450-600 these are 16-18 core scalable CPUs running at 1.8-2.2 ghz, making these the best value high core count render chips on the market right now.

 

search 6950x, price lowest to highest and scroll through, page two is JUICY

Glad I grabbed a good x99 board a couple weeks ago super cheap, now I just need to wait for an accompanying badass Xeon

What are you planning on putting in there? Any x299 CPU will wreck these xeons in single threaded applications

Some xeons OC like high end i7s (1680 v3 is basically a binned 5960x)
