Well if he's only planning a mild OC, he can boost the BCLK

it wouldn't be enough to require an AIO so it would be a waste.

Just looking for a sweet cpu water cooler under $100 :D Any help is appreciated! :)

 

CPU: i5 3470 (LGA 1155)

Planning on overclocking it a bit too, so I want to be able to do that with the cooler you may suggest :D

 

Edit: Case is Define R4, silence is highly preferred, also motherboard is Asrock z77 extreme 4. One more thing (hopefully) I am an Australian, so aussie sites are sorta a must...sorry!

You can't OC well, some people found a way but its not good

Yeah..you're better off grabbing a Hyper 212+ Evo.

 

That said, if you did have an overclockable CPU. AIO units are dumb. The only one worth anything is this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103196 or the Swiftech H220 depending on where you live.

But still provide great price to performance.

It is a locked CPU but, someone on the forum showed me I am able to get only about 400Mhz on the boost and that is it, which was what I was planning on taking advantage off, I was planning on just putting up the bus multiplier :D

you barely need more than stock heat sink for that.

I just want to buy a cooler not only to overclock, but I find it to be a bit cleaner looking than my stock intel fan ._.
