Monitor for Christmas

EJOE

Hello, I'm looking for a monitor that's 1080p (my 1060 can't handle 4k) wide, and possibly curved if I can fit all this in the budget of 500-700 US$. I will also be playing Xbox on this WhIch uses HDMI. I use HDMI for my PC too. So an HDMI port would be great

I'm currently eyeing this ome

Acer XZ350CU Black 35" 21:9 Ultra-wide Curved Monitor, FreeSync 144 Hz 4ms 2560 x 1080 Gaming Monitor 300 cd/m2 100,000,000:1 HDMI Display Port w/ Built-in Speakers http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=24-009-847

Greatly appreciated

You could always go with something like this, run games at lower quality for now, and upgrade your GPU later too. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIAB715ZF6207&cm_re=3440x1440-_-9SIAB715ZF6207-_-Product

That looks pretty good, LG has some 1080p ultrawides, although those weren't above 100Hz

Yes they do. This one is 144hz for $450

I'm not sure I'm going to run my games at a lower setting (how low?)

I'd go with the LG. They are known as being the gold standard on Ultrawides. Plus that Acer looks super thick and heavy for no reason.

So the Acer or this one?

Oh BTW they also have that same LG monitor with G-Sync for $650 since it still fits in your budget.

Adaptive refresh rate, it syncs your FPS to your refresh rate so there is no screen tearing. G-Sync is Nvidia's version, Freesync is AMD's version.
