Posted November 19, 2017 I was thinking of getting a mobile phone and I am deciding between the V30 and the S8. With the plan, the LG V30 is $190 cheaper than the S8. Personally, I like the S8 better with usability and with my experiences, I think its better. I do want to know which one is better at raw specs and price per performance. Let me know what you think! Posted November 19, 2017 What about the S8 makes you think it's better? I'd go with the V30 way before I'd ever consider the S8. Posted November 19, 2017 having owned an LG G3 in the past, I'm slightly hesitant to recommend them. mine began rebooting randomly and getting insanely hot, culminating with Bluetooth and WiFi both ceasing to work. apparently, random rebooting is an LG signature move, as it exists in their Nexus phones as well. with that said, the v30 looks like a fantastic device, and the ability to record in LOG on a phone is awesome. from what I've heard, Samsung's touchwiz can become extremely slow as time goes on, so keep that in mind. in terms of performance, they're super close. the v30 has the fingerprint scanner in a reasonable place, unlike the s8 I'd go try both of them in a store and see which you prefer, as they're both supersimilar otherwise. Posted November 19, 2017 S8's camera crushes the V30's V30 has a better headphone jack and (arguably) inferior display, but it's much bigger if you're into that. Neither of their Android skins stands out as amazing.

When I tried them in the store, I liked the S8 audio and responsiveness. I did hate the fingerprint scanner placement on the back.
