50 usb ports one pc.

Hi I need to clone Many USBS. Problem is that USB Duplicators are bit pricey.

I figured I can built my own PCIE or pci Expansion Cards.

Maybe Put 10 of them onto a single computer.

Many of them say "Compliant with Single-Lane (x1) PCI-Express throughput up to 5Gbps."

So can i use x16 of these cards on a x16pci slots?

Or any other recommendations?

Pretty sure you cant do that. Your best bet would be to buy a bunch of expansion cards with alot of ports and a motherboard with alot of PCI slots. Probably a cheap server one. Or just buy a crappton of cheap USB hubs.

You can't divide one slot into more slots.

A bunch of PCI-e and PCI USB cards and max out all of your USB headers. That's about all you can do without further using USB hubs. Though I don't know how well the USB hub idea would work.

Maybe something like this

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157781

combined with something like this
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA1DS4NA7781&cm_re=PCI_USB_expantion-_-9SIA1DS4NA7781-_-Product

You will probably need some riser cards so you can actually fit all of the USB expansion cards somewhere.

No idea if there will be a data bottleneck somewhere else, but at least you would get a lot of USB ports.

Wouldn't that be terribly slow? Just the fact that it is USB 2 limits you per each port. No idea what transfer speed that back plain can take.

for my purposes i will mostly use 2.0 usbs. If this works its a good solution.

But i was thinking usb 3.0 to have it future proof.

Ethier way this helps alot thank you very much!
