Why is Asus tuf boards for z370 not the same?

Why is Asus tuf boards for z370 not the same as the previous tuf series boards? The warranty is 3 years compared to 5 years. No tuf fortifier on the back and no thermal armor. Like what gives?

Thanks everyone

Stuff change over time, just business, nobody here works at Asus to tell you the exact reason why the warranty changed.

maybe their numbers show that 90% of their 2017 customer base would rather have RGB than a piece of plastic covering the board, and chances are pretty good they will have upgraded before that 3 year warranty runs out.

They still have a 5-year warranty according to Newegg's product listings and the "TUF Fortifier" is pretty much useless and doesn't matter. You notice that the TUF boards are cheaper now? ASUS appears to have refocused the TUF lineup as being a solid budget solution, unlike previous generations where it was treated solely as a premium option. Also, I can't imagine that having big plastic panels that cover a lot of the chips and ICs that need cooling helps thermals, making the "Thermal Armor" name a bit ironic.

Like @Princess Cadence said, things change over time.

I just checked asus's website about the warranty and here is what I found for the tuf z370 boards. It's 3 years now.

Okay, that's fair. I guess Newegg doesn't recognize the discrepancy between "TUF" and "TUF Gaming".

Like previously mentioned, they seemingly repositioned their board lineup, making TUF a more budget lineup than it used to be or just axing "TUF" in favor of "TUF Gaming".

I got you thank you for your opinions and your viewpoints on the subject. As really enlighten me on what possibly going on over there, I just viewed tough series as a board that will last you a long time as a creative Creator standpoint. But again thank you so much
