Hello anyone that can help me... I am trying to get a smaller pc case since a full tower takes up WAY too much space on a 55inch desk. My pc has an h100i v2 and a 1080 seahawk but, I have an atx mobo (MSI X370 Gaming Pro Carbon) I have finally accepted that for me to get to the size pc I want I may have to give up this nice motherboard. I am in need of a pc case that isn't expensive that can be preferably be laid down about the size of an Xbox one and can fit the 1080 sea hawk and the h100i v2 I have found some cases that can work such as two chambers design cases but they are only 5 inches less than the full tower I have (Phanteks enthoo pro) making it not really worth it... If anyone has any idea where I can get something that can work for me please let me know ASAP... Thank you in advance

As someone who built in all 3 major platforms, I will share some insight on the smaller options~

Matx - Unless you plan on dual GPUs, this is a bad platform in regards to compromise. It's usually too big to be sff and too close to standard at cases where the trade-off is not there.

itx - True sff king--when done right. Many of these are as bad as matx cases in being giant. One thing to be aware of, you aren't reclaiming desk space if the foot print is the same as a normal tower.

Yea I don't think i will be doing sli anytime soon... I don't know what you mean by footprint tho of you mean the space will still be taken up i am fine with that i just don't want a 20 inch box on my desk i looks really out of place

What I mean is if you have a itx case that's as wide as a standard case (or wider), you're not freeing up usable desk space. You effectively have the same space taken up, but less tall.

I have seen this case and I am almost certain I won't be able to fit the 120mm rad and fan next to the mobo

You can mount it in the front.

Yea the length is fine I had my case at an angle making it take up more space and having let's say a 10inch decrease I would definitely rather that

I mean that's a full tower (assuming it's not the M variant), most cases on the market would be a significant size difference

Enthoo Pro

Dimensions (H x W x D)

21.06" x 9.25" x 21.65"

Define C Series (Define C, TG, Meshify C)

17.83" x 8.27" x 16.26"

( a  3" x 1" x 5"  delta!)

The bigger question is, do you need six HDD bays, three ODD bays or some other "legacy" requirement to note?

definitely not lol the hight is a big deal to me because I am trying to mount a 55inch tv above it and don't want the case to be an eyesore.. the haf xb evo case is what I'm leaning towards right about know unless someone has something better in mind

Ah okay. Well most mid towers would be around that size, and the Define C specifically is very minimalist, and comes in a solid side panel with noise dampening material too.

If you want to really shrink down (including a mobo swap)

Corsair 88r

Define Mini C

Corsair Air 240

NZXT H400i (over priced, do not recommend, just putting it out there as an option)

Also, This hasnt come out yet, and technically cant support everything (mainly the sea hawk)

Most likely get the corsair 88r or just get an itx and custom water cool my pc... expensive but better than buying a whole new gpu just for a case. Definitely helped me though, thank you
