Well I just threw out the average figure for something like this. Someone whos legally responsible in all countries of this age would be less likely to do it.

But that wouldn't make much sense for this Forum since MOST members are under that age you just said which can be a problem if we do that.

well it makes more sense also it may be a legal thing when i was 17 and buying stuff off ebay from Canada to the US i had problems but a quick parental security proof settled that, but then again i doubt its a legal issue but i think the the age restriction/ post count should be 18 and 500 posts or 16 and 1000 under 16 1500 posts and a generally good user ranking but of course age restrictions are easy to get around im pretty sure some people on here are lying about their age

I think the best way to do it would be to make it based purely off of post count to filter out all of the people who are not "committed" to the forum. Of course there are legal considerations to factor in as well. Seeing as people from all over the world could potentially use this section of the forum, and there are different legal situations regarding trading/selling things online in each country, it would be very difficult to make it "legal" for worldwide use. I foresee it being limited to North America and potentially parts of Europe because it would be much easier to keep track of laws, regulations, etc.

I agree about the post count. Also, to ensure people can trust you as a seller, you can have a seller review thread for the things you've sold. The car forum I'm always on, people have their seller feedback thread linked in their sig, so you can check their history before you buy something from them.
