Solid combo there, it + a 1080 ti will quite possibly perform better than your current cpu and 2 titan xp

Want to custom loop?  Ask me more if you are curious

To be frank, do you need the Titans?

I'm not trying to devolve this into a "lol ur cpu sux" argument but surely you'd be fine off with a 1080 Ti? Unless I'm missing something...

Check out my guide on how to scan cover art here!

A solid 1080 ti costs 700, a titan XP costs 1200.  They perform exactly the same

A single 1080 Ti is much better than 2way SLI Maxwell TITAN X's.... I owned a TITAN X Maxwell, this sure was a power house sure but it was freaking hot, had to set its fan to 100% on loads like The Witcher 3 throttling itself on 1350mhz wall at 80ish celsius degrees.

The 1080 Ti can play on the same settings without breaking a sweat, stays on the high 60's degrees with a much quieter fan only running at 60% as well

Titan x Maxwell is NOT worth 450, only pascal. A single 1080 ti would crush two titan x Maxwell at literally everything

One: That's a 200 TDP chip. Literally a heater. AMD recommends a liquid cooler for that and even then it won't have good thermals.

Two: The FX 9590 is a crap CPU. As others have said, a Ryzen 1200 would rip it a part. If you have 350$, definitely upgrade. You won't regret it.

I'm running that board with a FX-8350. I had some high temps at first when overclocking, but eventually got a stable overclock to 4.7ghz and temps are super low now. Just want to make sure for one, did you update to the latest bios? There is a newer bios on Asus website. I forget the version off the top of my head, but I just want to make sure you are dealing with the latest. As someone else already said, you can manually adjust voltage, but the real power control comes in Digi+ Adjusting the LLC and some other settings in there. I'm assuming you put the little 40mm fan in the VRM cooler slot? When I added that it helped a little with temps too. I have mine blowing at the VRM's. If you need more specific settings in bios, let me know.
