What blue light filter app for Android lets me do this?

djdelarosa25

Let's say I want the filter to kick in at 9 PM, brightness level unchanged. But by 10 PM, I want the brightness to dim down considerably, even lower than the lowest stock setting. Do you guys know of any app that does this?

(Non-rooted. I don't want to root my Moto Z Play yet as it still receives OTAs)

Not sure if it's a specific app, but I know if you buy tasker (~$4), you can basically write scripts and stuff and interact with the system.

You should be able to make it so at 9PM it'll interact with the filter app of your choice, and at 10 it'll interface with the system to turn the brightness down.

Want to know which mobo to get?

Choose whatever you need. Any more, you're wasting your money. Any less, and you don't get the features you need.

Only you know what you need to do with your computer, so nobody's really qualified to answer this question except for you.

At 10 PM, I meant it'll interact with the filter app again to lower the brightness even further (lower than the lowest stock settings on Android). Would that be possible?

If you haven't rooted your phone, I'd say no.

Just another thought, you could try an app called pixoff.

Basically what it does is it turns off one every few pixels (you can configure) in order to save battery.

You would be able to use this to create a lower perceived brightness overall.

I use Lux Lite, and I'm pretty sure it has a feature like that. It also lets you go beyond what your stock ROM will let you in terms of brightness levels.

i don't know of a single app that can do that but i know of 2 apps that could be used together to do that

if you use Twilight as the main blue light filter (it has it allows you to have it turn on/change settings/turn off at specific times) it has filter strength to change the how strong the filter is and it has a screen dimmer (but the screen dimmer only changes the image not the actual screen brightness)

and then use Midnight to turn the screen brightness down at 10 pm as it has an option to turn the screen brightness (actual screen brightness) down to minimum while it is active (just set it to turn on at 10pm but keep it at minimum so it doesn't affect the image)
