So I go to download the BF2 Beta and excepted it to be slow due to overload on their servers but when I saw the download shot up past 25MB/s which is usually what it maxes out around on steam I was impressed and hoped to see how far it could go. I am happy to say it managed to hit 52.25MB/s before dropping and settling between 30-40MB/s. I am truly impressed with how EA servers are handling this.

I just wanted to say I am impressed with EA servers, I'm not really sure where I would put a status updates other than general or off-topic....

Hehe, yep. Downloaded it, and it took about 2.5-3hrs, I think I was averaging about 5.12 down (my internet's fault, it's fine for browsing but slows down on downloads sometimes), but it got it done. Played a bit at lunch, and it's totally awesome. Runs as well or better than Battlefront, even though there's more going on and the graphics are somehow even better. Multiplayer was perfectly smooth for the one match I had time to play as well (except I got stuck once, just respawned and no problems since). Really like the classes (hehe, the heavy is the best), and they made the sniper rifle on the specialists not lame, so you can actually get a couple kills. All in all, massive kudos to EA and DICE, and they may convince me to spend the whole $60 for the game, since they did such a good job.

Well it took me like 10mins to download lol, (<3 my college internet) at home it would be alike 2-2.5hrs. So I'm going to go launch and check out what you mentioned about the classes.....I'm hoping to be able to play as a Jedi/Sith at some point during the beta :D

There is a mission mode that lets you be Maul. He is a total beast if you don't get surrounded and gunned down. And the graphics for his saber will cause your brain to shut down due to the stream of pure awesomeness pouring through your eyeballs. So maybe wear sunglasses... B|

I got 108MB/s sustained from steam before

Wow, funny that here in Brazil when I get 2Mbps I find it VERY GOOD. Just different standarts, I know the point of this post is about the server and not the internet connection, but still. For me 10Mbps would be godlike and frankly VERY overkill, but 60 or even 100? It does not even make sense in my head.

Ultra is stupid. ALWAYS.
