How to create win10 usb installer on macOS high sierra?

Can someone please tell me how to create a windows 10 USB installer in macOS high sierra.

I've tried multiple method like these:

But during installation, the new PC i've built does not recognize the installer, instead it prompt me to "select a proper bootable drive".

No idea what to do.

If it is not broken, let's fix till it is.

You could download Parallels' trial package, use it to install Windows in a VM, and then download the tool in that.

Come Bloody Angel

Break off your chains

And look what I've found in the dirt.

Pale battered body

Seems she was struggling

Something is wrong with this world.

Fierce Bloody Angel

The blood is on your hands

Why did you come to this world?

Everybody turns to dust.

Everybody turns to dust.

The blood is on your hands.

The blood is on your hands!

Pyo.

you're not doing it right then. I've created several windows (and non-windows)  bootable USB drives in OS X using that method.

no, last ones i've made were on 10.12, Sierra. The base system for it shouldn't have changed that drastically that previous commands would no longer work.

After I installed the bootable USB to my new PC. It shows up in BIOS fine.

I have 2 bootable option:

  1. UEFI USB
  2. USB

I tried to boot from these 2 options, none of them work.

Windows still gives me the "select bootable drive and reboot" error.

Or it will just straight up boot into bios and do nothing.

It doesn't make sense to dd a Windows ISO to a USB drive. It's simply not supposed to be bootable this way. For the PC to boot a USB drive, the drive needs to have either a MBR with proper boot code for hard disks, but not ISO9660/UDF, for BIOS/CSM, or a proper FAT-formatted ESP for UEFI.

The simplest way to make a bootable Windows installation USB for UEFI, is to format the drive with FAT32, and then mount the ISO and copy the content to it. UEFI simply looks for EFI binaries on proper location.

Other people suggested this, but when I try to do this, I get an error and said:  "too large for the volume's format fat32". The opened iso file is more than 4GB... so there is no way it can be copied fully into the USB.

If it is not broken, let's fix till it is.
