Large data transfer

Idk if this would be here or in storage devices, so Im sorry if this is in the wrong place.

I need to transfer a few large files from my pc to a friends laptop. The files are about 50 gigs each so uploading to something and downloading are not really a good optiona s that would take forever. Is there any way to just quickly transfer them from one to the other?

Get a USB to sata adapter  and an ssd, or just pull the drive out of your computer.

Sync RGB fans with motherboard RGB header.

 

Main rig:

Its a laptop not a pc so hardrive swap isnt and option and i dont have a usb to sata even though it wouldve been useful on sever occasions

you could always do a USB to USB transfer cable. Cheap and easy

If they are on the same network, setup a file share off one computer. You can then copy directly over the network. I did this once when I had a laptop with 70GB of stuff on it and its only USB3.0 port was faulty.

That will be the fastest way in terms of transfer speeds, but modern laptops are an utter pain to take apart. Also, it may be an M.2 drive, but if the desktop supports M.2 that shouldn't be an issue.

I would also say Resilio Sync might work. I haven't tried transfer over internet, but thats supposed to be a feature. Over LAN it will just work. As it uses unique keys to link folders and clients, you don't need to mess around with shared folders. Upload and download speeds will depend on your networks, so LAN with ethernet cables is fastest.
