Good PS2 Emulator?

Im looking for a good PS2 emulator, Yes i have a ps2 and the reason im not using it is because i dont feel like messing with it, i just want to use my pc. I tried a few already but they didnt work. I tried.

PCSX2

PS2emu
NeutrinoSX2
 
none of which worked properly. Any ideas? thanks.

just use your ps2, its like 2 cables to hook up :P

It more cables and crap on my desk and stuff. I dont want to mess with it and i think its up in the attic or something, its easier to not mess with it and just get a emulator.

but none of the emulators are working for you, so i guess you need to brush up on those cable management skills and get to work  :lol:

Use pcsx2, I think there is a tutorial on the website to set it up correctly.

pcsx 2 mate, it rocks hardcore, you need your own Bios though as they do not provide it. I use it opposed to my ps 2 because in hardware mode I can upscale my games to 1080p and play with less distortion (pixelation / whatever you want to call it) on my HD TVs. Also I use it for the xbox 360 Wireless remote :D

Pcsx2 works great for me and I would highly recommend it.

Here are my settings, and i play without enhancements because the games i play do not always run great in hardware mode.

 

Make sure to use the AVX GPU plugin for maximum performance.

 

I have zero speed hacks as my CPU is too strong, capping FPS is needed in my case, any intel chip of 4ghz+ will play every game out there, bugs aside.

it's not a piece of software for those who do not dare change things because "it might break". 

 

people with this logic really bothers me, I mean you can make unlimited copies of the folder as backups so if you do break it you can just start over.(though it's unlikely you'd break it, you might just add useless data to it which increases the size a bit.)

I got it working thank god but the controller is all messed up. Like, the left stick counts as the same buttons as the xo square and triangle. and the arrows are the same buttons as the left stick. and its just a mess.

Don't give up on getting PCSXE working it's great, the resolution scaling is so delicious you can make games look so crisp.

There is an obscene amount of input lag though, don't think that's avoidable.
