New Ryzen System won't post

Hey I've just built my system. I've tried taking out the GPU and using the onboard graphics. I've checked everything was in place and even did a CMOS reset. Nothing outputting on the screen. 
Specs:
AMD Ryzen 1300x

MSI X370 Gaming Plus motherboard

Palet GTX 1070 8GB

550 watt Corsair PSU.

Try clearing the cmos.

 

Do you have another gpu on hand by any chance?

Hi, I've tried taking the motherboard battery out for 2 mins and putting it back in and I don't have another GPU since this is my first build.

It's probably an MSI motherboard issue. (@Princess Cadence@dave_k) And BTW, why did you get a 1300X with X370? Return the board and the CPU and get a Ryzen 5 1600 with a B350 board (from ASUS or AsRock). ;)

Hi, the ram and the motherboard lights up and I've had a £125 gift card for this shop so I could only spend that amount and couldn't pay extra (complicated reason) I'm only gaming on this system so it's fine :)

Does everything spin up when you turn it on then? You could also try connecting a speaker to listen for beep codes.

I believe you need to wait. Ryzen tends to take a bit of time to post.

Just remembered this. On the first boot up Ryzen is known to take as long as 5-10 minutes.

Yeah, the GPU fans spin for a few seconds and then slow down and stop. I don't have a speaker to plug into the motherboard :(

As @DocSwag said, it could take 5-10 minutes. Which is long a time. It's only for the first time boot.

just so you know, ryzen doesn't have integrated graphics, so dont try to use the motherboard outputs, because nothing will happen

Well, you should, because it adds good few FPS to the Ryzen CPU.
