First time ever build - Ryzen mITX - Abomination inside.

jeffery7466

Hello all.

After much conversing and intelligence gathering, I have finally built my first every PC - my ticket to the master race. I went an ITX build because I want to take it to LAN parties, even though many people have voiced their opinion that master race newborns should not dabble with ITXs.

Anyhow, here are the parts:

CPU: Ryzen R5 1600

Graphics card: ASUS DUAL GTX 1070 O8G

RAM: 2x8GB Corsiar Vengeance 3200MHz

Storage: 250GB SanDisk Ultra II SSD

Storage: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200RPM HDD

MOBO: Asrock Fata1ity Gaming/ITX AB350

PSU: Corsair SF450

Case: Silverstone SG13

CPU cooler: Noctua - NH-L9x65

Front intake fan: Noctua NF-F12 PWM

Exhaust fan: Fractal design R3 50mm

Monitor: LG23MP68VQ

Keyboard: TurtleBeach Impact 600

Misc:

SFX to ATX power supply adaptor bracket PP08

ASUS SDRW 08D2S-U LITE

Tights, 20 Denier

Corsair CP-8920190 Sleeved SATA Cable, Red/Black

TAAADDAAA~~~

You have no idea how excited and happy I was xD

Of note: Asrock have 'fixed' their VRM heatsink-thermal pad issue:

White GPU, Red/Black mobo, Poo-y CPU cooler... Yea, the colour scheme is all wrong and miss matched. But who cares as long as I like it!

It's alive!!!

Now time to prep the case:

I do like Asrock's IO shield:

At this point, I thought cable management will be easy. I mean, there is so much room. What's all the fuss about?

Errr getting a bit cosy now...

Note: I had to get a different Corsair's SATA power cable as the one that came with the PSU aren't flat enough. I do like the red and black, and also the fact that its individually sleeved though.

ARGHHH cables everywhere! And why do they have to be so stiff??

LTT12.JPG.c9e49e2c2979711c113d7ca7bfd790e3.JPG

This is the best I can manage. Not bad for a first time builder...?

And here is the finished product!

What's the abomination I hear you ask?

Well.

I used lady's tights as dust filter, and it is SO hard to get right. It ended up looking like this form the inside:

The whole setup costs £1400. Inc. all peripherals.

It does look like you need an upgrade.
