Worth buying DAC ? w/ Low End Headset

Exaco

Hello guys i was wondering if its worth buying a DAC+AMP for me also how much of a difference i would feel ?

Motherboard: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-P61-S3-rev-20#sp
Headset: http://genesis-zone.com/en/product/h59-gaming-headset/

I know if i get DAC it will be useful in the future after i get a good headphones, but now im interested based on this setup how it would improve.

first of all, as it is a DAC and not a subwoofer you won't feel a difference and you need an expensive DAC to hear some difference (near studio grade) and then you will not experience the difference with a €30 gaming headset

ask me about your system builds, AIO's, CPU's, PSU's, and GPU's.

It would be much smarter to spend that money on a decent set of headphones

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

My main Headphones and IEMs:  K612 pro, HD 25 and Ultimate Ears Reference Monitor, HD 580 with HD 600 grills

DAC and AMP: RME ADI 2 DAC

Speakers: Genelec 8040, System Audio SA205

Receiver: Denon AVR-1612

Desktop: R7 1700, GTX 1080  RX 580 8GB and other stuff

Laptop: ThinkPad P50: i7 6820HQ, M2000M. ThinkPad T420s: i7 2640M, NVS 4200M

Feel free to pm me if you have a question for me or quote me. If you want to hear what I have to say about something just tag me.

yeah Spending that money on a good to decent headset is better then a dac and bad headphones.

If your looking for BASS IN YOUR FACE than an AMP might do it more than a DAC, but once you start getting into amplification than hissing might be much more noticable than before. In this case a grounded DAC would help eliminate hissing ground loops, and noise from the mobo.

I got these headphone for when I want bass ATH-PRO700MK2 and a 800mW amp. It makes my ears shake. (HyperX cloud 2 also sound bassy and has mic)

Take a look at equalizer APO and Peace GUI for windows. It makes it easy to tweak EQ.

If you're presently happy with what you got, stick to it for now. Save up for a better amp or DAC combo + headphones upgrade in the future, such an upgrade would yield a more noticeable audio upgrade/difference than to simply get an amp with your present gear.

My $99 usb dac/amp sounds noticeably nicer than the audio from my board and that was a close to $200 motherboard. That said, my headphones are also Beyerdynamic and not some unknown cheap gaming headset. Getting a dac for that would be a waste of time.
