[PSA] Don't be as dumb as me when building Ryzen

ajhockey1

Yesterday I was so hyped (I got paid yesterday last paycheck from summer job yeet) I waited outside a computer store until it opened. It opened up I asked for a Ryzen 5 1400, and whatever board they recommended (Ended up being overkill but looks bad ass AF) and some Corsair LPX ram

I installed that bad boy into my case attached my GPU, SSD, HDD all that jazz fired it up installed windows

launched windows and... crash

relaunched worked for 5 minutes... crash

repeat like 50x times

I saw online "Update bios"

same shit.exe

I saw "Update windows"

the PC wouldn't stay on long enough to update in the windows enviroment

I played with it for 8 hours, Than went to sleep because I was out of energy

what I did wrong is download the ISO file from Microsoft Bizspark, as I used to develop programs and I can get free windows keys via my bizspark account. The ISO I downloaded from bizspark was outdated (released like late 2016 or something) Why would microsofts OWN service provide outdated iso files? Anyways when I installed a copy of windows straight from the microsoft creation tool/website things all my problems magically went away. Now im super hyped to play video games yeet

TLDR:

Download the newest copy of windows, Bizspark is dumb. I wasted an entire afternoon when I could have been playing video games.
