Should I go high end now?

By high end I mean Ryzen 5 1600 not like Threadripper but I'm not sure if I should go with the Ryzen 3 1200 and upgrade later to the Ryzen 5, or if I should even upgrade at all.  If I get the Ryzen 3 now and then get the Ryzen 5 later, I end up using more money in the long run than if I went with the Ryzen 5 right now; but it looks like a lot of money right now.  Does it just depend on what a plan to do, like sream or edit videos, my budget?  Should I upgrade later, go highend now, or just stick with the cheaper option?

depends on what you are doing with your current system, and what you find it lacking...

I would get a 1400 or 1600 but its important to ask this:

1. What CPU do you have now?
2. Do you have DDR4?
3. What is your budget?
4. What do you want to do with it?

If you want to livestream and editing videos, Ryzen 5 1600 is recommended.

 

For mid-range gaming, browsing and general productivity, Ryzen 3 1200 will be fine

Depends also on how much money you have, and how your living situation is.

No point in getting a sweet computer if you can't eat for the next month, right?
