Hello everyone i was just wondering about Linus's rgb pc build and it looks amazing but i want to change some of the parts like the motherboard for ix formula because it has more features and the battery to a 750 instead of 650, will i still be able to do the build and would it be worth it? will i be able to run high end demanding games with it today?

The parts list he used for it is pretty crap. I would suggest you go for an i7 instead (or if you're willing to wait coffee lake is coming in less than a month which will bring 6 cores to the mainstream Intel lineup). Also what do you mean by battery? Do you mean PSU?

by battery i meant power supply i got a brain fart for a second

750w isn't really necessary :)

If you want an awesome RGB PC I suggest you not follow by that build since there are the above mentioned bad choices as well as some other stuff (spending $100 on cpu cooler instead of getting a gtx 1080 instead, the case has literally GARBAGE airflow).

You could build a 7700k/8700k+1080 ti system that still has a lot of RGB for a similar price. LTT really didn't do a good job of making the parts list. If you want, I could create a $2000 parts list as an example of what you could do with the budget.

Also side note, plz quote me in the future or I might not see you replied! :)

Hey guys i was wondering if it is worth it building the rgb pc Linus created i was thinking about changing some of the parts though like the mother board for a ix formula instead of the ix hero and the psu for a 750w and probably the i5 7600k for the new upcoming cpu from intel. i am going to build this at australia so the cost is gonna be like doubled cause of currency. will it be able to run everything with ease? like run high end demanding games with above 60 fps easily? will i be able to stream with no fps drop or stuttering?

Most of the parts would be fine however i'd change some of the main components.

First go for coffee lake, ryzen, or an i7

Use a single gpu unless you're going 4k and money isn't an issue

8 or 16gb of ram (16 preferably)

And this is only preference but the block on the kraken x62 line is the coolest looking aio block so i'd swap that for the corsair aio

If you want to stream with NO FPS drop at all you're gonna need a second system for capturing and streaming and whatnot. I don't know of any system outside of a dual system that can stream without any fps being sacrificed.

With a $4000 budget though there's no doubt you'll probably be able to crush 4k 60 fps at high or ultra.
