Laser engraving tempered glass side panel?

So in a few months I'm going to be doing a build in an NZXT s340 Elite, and I am currently taking an engineering class, in which we have access to laser cutter and such tools and machines. The teacher has told the class that glass can be engraved, and I don't see why tempered glass couldn't be as well. So I'm wondering if anyone has engraved a tempered glass side panel successfully that came out well. Thanks for the help.

It's less engraving as more of an etching on the glass surface similar to bead blasting the glass surface, but definitely does work.

Just be careful with tempered glass because it is under stress and can shatter from any small weak points or imperfections.

After etching, shine LEDs into the side of the glass and it'll make the etched areas glow :D

I've seen stuff like that, I'll probably end up doing that, it sounds so cool!

Do you know how likely that is to happen?

It's unpredictable, but whatever you do don't set the laser for full power so it cuts instead of rasterizing a vector.
