just analyze trouble shooting in tech forums.. ryzen is far from reliable for a kid. even would suggest FX before ryzen, but imho if i would be at the age of 13 i would love my dad so much for buying me a 7700k/8700k .. though..

Ryzen is extremely stable, but even if it wasn't, do you think that the OP's kids are doing anything mission critical?

I've been here for goddamn ages and I've seen about equal between both platforms. Ryzen is selling more, so I would naturally expect more.

Check Mindfactory numbers if you don't believe that they're selling more.

yeah, but the budget can't account for a 7700k or coffee lake, so its out of the picture. plus, i think you need to check yo dates on them forums, cause ryzen had issues within the first few months of release ( like all new architectures), but its been 8 now and all the bugs and compatibility issues have been worked (the ones that will affect an average consumer not doing serious tinkering at least)

yea i know that they are selling more, because every fool recommends to buy ryzen... aaand Intel buyers are wating for coffeelake.. ryzen will get crushed again when coffeelake hits. They have sold 5% more and now? 400% more troubleshooting on forums then intel... really nice ..

sure it will, because Ryzen5 owners have been laughing since April and CFL will cannibalize Skylake-X hexacore sales like g4560 cannibalized i3 sales.

idk

even after i explicitly state it, you still have to ask.

pic_disp.php?id=42028&width=800&height=800

photoshop is lightly threaded, the 7700k performs better than the 1800x, so the gap between the 1600 and 7700 would be even larger in the 7700's favor. also, the 7700 is still better in gaming over the 1600.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

"every fool recommends Ryzen" - well that's because its better, ever consider that? of intel buyers are waiting for coffeelake, cause its looking to be like the only half decent cpus intel would have churned out in years. and yeah ryzen will probably lose market share when it drops (*IF* intel dare to be price competitive). also i like your touch of arbitrary numbers at the end, really give your argument the spice it needs :D

better then what? in what? as far as my research goes most of it is worse but "price".

600mhz lower on base and 300mhz lower after turbo. that isn't gonna help ryzen beat the 7700 in photoshop.

than intel kabylake, you know, the only other cpu manufacturer, duh? yeah, they're better (slightly in gaming) yet offer the same versatile platform, and people aren't made of money, hence its BETTER overall....

good thing the build isnt for photoshop then isnt it? and next time please make it clear which cpu you're talking about - you include 7700 in list, yet refer ti 7700k in graphs, contradicting what you just said that there is a significant difference!

not only gaming, and not only kabylake. You can buy a 5820k for 80€ on Ebay...

600Mhz lower base and 500 after turbo, turbo is only 4Ghz all-core.

7600k, in gaming, multimedia, and everything that isn't intel biased, really. it's ever so slightly slower in single-core.

and cheapest board on mindfactory is 165, but you can still buy something much cheaper on ebay or craigslist and it will definitley be faster then ryzen. Thats the point ryzen might be cheap, but its also slower
