Sony's Tiny Rugged Action cam to rival the go-pro.

JohnnyCorporalTech

Sony unveiled a new small form factor camera, called the RX0, designed for rugged expeditions and underwater filming. The Camera packs a massive 1" sensor into a body that only measures 59.0 x 40.5 x 29.8 mm. a form factor that is even smaller than the go-pro hero 5 black.

The video recording capabilities are particularly impressive. It can record 960fps slow-motion like the XZ Premium, as well as 240fps at 1080p. There’s a microHDMI port for pros who want to use an external recorder.

with the larger sensor, compared with the XZ premium, it should capture much better low light shots as well as better slow motion in minimal light. It is also of note that it will also support S-Log2 recording which will give much more flexibility in post.

The Sony RX0 is waterproof up to 10m, but if you’re serious about underwater shooting, then you can grab the special housing that can dive up to 100m depth. Even on dry land, you don’t need to be gentle – the camera can handle drops from up to 2m and can withstand a crushing force of 200kg.

This looks like it might be one heck of a camera, and really shake the action cam industry.

Specially price-wise, right?
But I think this  is more on trying to reviving the until-recently very popular super expensive selfie stick camera...
