Best laptop for my situation?

hey guys so I came to the conclusion that I wanted this laptop for the remainder of my high school education and onto my college education. it needs to be able to code any level, handle basic 3-d modeling work, be fast and able to handle many processes at once, and just be a good all around laptop for me through the next 5-7 years. the laptop I chose is the Inspiron 15 7000 4k, i7 model for 1,200 USD. Is this the best decision or is there better? Thanks for any help!

The model i chose: http://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/cty/pdp/spd/inspiron-15-7567-laptop/dncwf408s?oc=dncwf408s&l=en&s=dhs

It seems like a good laptop although i have seen some with a 1060 at a similar price, I've started moving to Desktops recently by starting my first custom pc build. Anyway, I have a LenovoY50 and it's still good to this day beating my friends laptop which he bought this year, i have double the amount of ram, 4k, he has 1080p but a better gpu. Back to the topic, We can all look at specs but please please look at the physical side by watching videos and doing more research on it since that's what matters, for gaming you need good cooling, a lot of gaming laptops used to not have good cooling resulting in thermal throttling.

Do you need the 4K resolution? Because I think you can save about $100 or so by going for the 1080p IPS option with the same specs (it helps with battery life too). Regardless, the Dell Inspiron 7567 should fit your needs and should last you for long, provided you take care of it well.

Yeah but is is expired :) however considering that it is almost 2lbs heavier and not very noticable difference in performance between 3 gb and 6gb version when it comes to 1080p gaming I would just go with y520 xD

Y720 has better cooling, more VRAM means more future proof
