Are you excited for the big Windows 10 Fall update?

Well, you may be very disapointed.

Windows is preparing to release new Windows 10 Pro for Workstation and they are going to remove some already included features (most of them are justified) in normal Windows 10 Pro with the Fall update.

The big thing that they are going to remove is the already fully supported file system ReFS.

ReFS is the successor of the NTFS supports many functions of modern file systems like ZFS, Apple APFS and Btrfs. It has built-in support for the data integrity check, data redundancy, storage virtualization, copy-on-write mechanism and is optimised for management of big file systems.

If you already have ReFS file systems on you Windows 10 Pro you will be able to use them but you will lose the ability to create new ones with the Fall update.
