Xperia Z2 Help Needed

TeamLTG

Hello,

I have (or had) a sony xperia Z2. Yesterday i got a screen replacement for it as the digitizer and screen were broken (it costed me 90$). Today i went to the beach and the phone slipped out of my pocket and fell into the water, it was off at the time. I picked it up and the charging port flap was a bit open. It just vibrated twice so i ran and put it on rice, where it still lays. Is it broken (please god no, i am 13)? Can it be fixed if it is, or is it not worth it.

Thank You

its most likely dead, you can try to take it apart and dry it out.

i have a weird rubber case which is just anti slip (no port cover). Isn't the z2 waterproof?

water resistance, not proof, also not after you replaced the screen, you broke the seal also your port was not covered, did you drop it in salt water or fresh water?

That would be salt water (sea)

I do not know but replacement is notting close to worth. My Xperia Z3+ broke twice, and know I am going to buy the cheap phone I got like 1 and a half years old that was like a nokia xD .

Morning check, No water seems to be in the device (screen, ports) and no corrosion is visible. Hoping it will turn on, currently in the sun.
