Can a GTX1070?

TenzoNakami

Hi, so I am planning to do nvidia surround using three of these 29UM58-P. While each does offer 2560x1080 which translates into 7680x1080, will the GTX1070 able to drive the whole game smoothly on High+?

Take for example most AAA titles. The Witcher 3, Mirrors Edge 2, Watch Dogs 2, Tekken 7 etc

Rest system specs:

Spoiler

i7 7700K @ 5GHz

64gb of avexir ram

You might have to lower settings depending on the game but it should be fine.

Actually that is 4K. It's the identical number of pixels. To the OP. No a 1070 isn't the best 4K card. A 1080 or 1080 ti will do a much better job.

Thanks for the quick reply! Okay then, so around medium should be just fine right?

How about a 1080Ti? I might sell this card and get 1080Ti.

Yes at 1080 ti does good in most 4K games. Especially if you don't use AA because it is not really needed at 4K.

I would try the 1070 on the setup and see how you like it, then if you aren't satisfied get a 1080 ti

Actually nvm, you would still want to use AA because you are doing surround and 2560x1080 has a low PPI

Even if the pixel count is the exact same amount as "4K", but I am using nvidia surround? Which I think still kinda not-so-good looking without AA. Correct me if I'm wrong :(

^ I'm currently using an LG 34UC97, it looks amazing though is limited to 60hz.  When I have to return the monitor to my friend whom is currently travelling, I'm planning on getting one of my own.  Currently leaning toward the Acer Predator x34.

Am keen to hear others opinions on ultrawide QHD panels too though.

That, my friend, is a great option. Unfortunately, here in my country it does cost 1500USD. I do not live in the US and getting items from US is somewhat hard.

By the way, yesterday I picked up another 25UM58P, so yeah now I have 3 of them!

I understand all too well, they're quite expensive here in Australia too.  But I forked out for the 1080ti, so it's going to feel like a waste going back to 1080p when I have to return the monitor I'm using.
