Why I bought a GTX 460 SE for $50

When I have the money I'll buy a 1030 and I'll test it and prove you wrong.

I wouldn't count Sandy/Ivy Bridge as old hardware. I'd put a 1050Ti in it, and I may at the end of the month when the numbers are in. I had to move the 550Ti into another PC so that's why I bought the 460 - $50 off a market that isn't shady like eBay and Craigslist is actually a good price, especially since you can see them for $1000+ from foreign markets who don't know how to America.

It's all relative what is old and new of course (old =/= bad).  For most of the games and tasks I do I still use an i3, and I'm sure I'm doing more than other folks that would call any i3 an outdated dual core cpu.

I don't doubt the 460 beats the 1030 in some cases (it probably favors games closer to its release window).  If those cases are most important to you, again, more power.
