RX 480 sacrifice for upgrade

Hi! Months ago I paid like $210 for a RX 480, and I just sold it for $340 since all my friends told me to take advantage of the mining boom.

 

Now I have no GPU but some money.

 

I thought that it would be a nice idea to buy a Vega 56 with some saved money I have, but I don't live in USA and those cards will probably be overpriced AF when they launch, also they're stock desings and I don't like noisy blower-style coolers.

 

Any tips? GTX 1070's are selling for 440-500 here (used, a kidney if you want brand new) and buying a GTX 1060 with those $340 would be like a side upgrade.

see if you can find any used 980tis around where you live, as they're roughly equivalent to a 1070, and can usually be found for far less

you should either save the money or spend it on anything that isnt a gpu.

gpu's are up in [price which means now is the time to sell not buy. buy something that is down right now that could become expensive.

I thought the vega 56 was 399 usd? Isn't that the same price of a 1070?

For an used 1070 yeah, if Vega 56 brings the same or more performance, with OC headroom and brand new for $400 I would really be tempted to get it.
