Most silent case?

Dagnis

I was thinking of getting the BeQuiet 900 for my future case, the one without the glass, in hopes it would be very quiet. I just want to make sure I'm not missing out on a more quiet case before I drop $200 on this case. Are there any rankings or anything out there on quiet cases to compare them? All I can find online is lists of cases with pros and cons, but no real "benchmarks" or anything measuring the sound.

Or am I splitting hairs here, and there isn't much of a difference when it comes to the higher end quiet cases? If thats the case, would the 900 be considered a higher end?

A lot of the noise, from what I've seen, comes from 1) Case Fans, 2) CPU Cooler, 3) GPU, 4) Power Supply (Electrical Noise), 5) Spinning Hard Drives

A Fractal Design case with sound dampening with Noctua fans still can sound loud if said fans are running high RPMs (personal past experience). The quietest computing is either passive or all fans running low rpm. There is no magical silent case.

No, because of electrical noise, a PSU with an awesome fan can be more quiet than a fanless unit....

Keep in mind sound is subjective and not to 100% depend on graphs. Use them more as a guideline.
