Some of these are really good and I did have the system running on my desk last night but I have kids and was not willing to leave it like that so I seen the box my Mrs brought home the guinea ? home in last night so stolen

Ya, kid and pets and open computers dont play well.  When my oldest was about 4 years old he stuck his finger in the cpu fan when I had the side off my case and the blood went flying.

Just check out the entire LAN PC build... 3.0 is especially bad.

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Case? What is that? I've been running my PC like this for over a month now, and I don't plan on getting a case thus far.

I love some ghetto builds.  My most recent one was taking the guts out of an old laptop that had a broken screen but still worked and would constantly overheat the cpu and the hdd due to poor airflow inside and putting it inside an old micro atx motherboard box I had laying around.  I pulled a 120mm fan out of an old psu that was dead and wired it up to run off an extra usb header that just happened to have ended up inside of the box so it was otherwise useless.  Its a first gen dual core i5 so its not great, but it works great for playing music and looking on the internet.  It replaced an old atom itx build I had in the garage that I keep all the manuals for my vehicles on and some music to listen while in the garage.  Something cheap and small hooked up to a $10 goodwill flat panel monitor and an old wireless keyboard that has a touchpad built in.  Stuff that I dont care about getting dirty or full of dirt and dust when I am covered in oil and mud trying to look up how to fix something on my cars.
