What is the best OST of all time?

As the tags suggest what is the best Original Sound Track of all time iyho? I would have to say it's the Jet Set Radio Future soundtrack due to its diversity of rock, funk, and syth music. What do you all think?

IMO, best 3 game OSTs, in order of greatest to second and third:

  1. OneShot Solstice
  2. Undertale OST
  3. Cytus OST

I'll have to check out the other two but I can agree on undertale. Water fall is amazing.

Honestly, only on the list for the Asriel/hypergod of death and Temmie themes, as well as the statue song.

Otherwise, it's fairly meh IMO.

To be quite honest, I hate the game itself. Only aspects of Undertale I like are the fan made alternative universes and some members of the community giving the characters a good bit of personality beyond the tidbits the game gives.

I also hate Mettaton, Alphys, and Papyrus.

I like OSTs from Mass Effect 1, Mirror's edge and Everlasting summer. And i understand that they are not the best of the best, i just like them more.

The Undertale OST came first to my mind as well, but I also like the LAST of most Pokemon games,mainly Diamond/Pearl.

 

Most Zelda games have a great OST too, I particularly like the Windwaker's OST.

Best is highly subjective. Imo the pieces by howard shore in Lord of the Rings are absolutely exceptional.

However, there are some osts from various shows/anime I've seen that are breath taking as well and invoke just as much emotion. If we're talking purely game OSTs, then I'd struggle to choose between the Wticher 3, doom 2016 and Oblivion all come to mind with superb sound tracks built flawlessly around the game.

I absolutely hated the game (beat it three times and even did genocide). But I did enjoy Papyrus and Mettaton. Only reason I played it so much is because I have little cousins who won't shut up about it.

 

Also, I am SHOCKED no one has mentioned Chrono Trigger, Shovel Knight or any of the Megaman X games.

The Bruce Faulconer soundtrack to Dragonball Z. Best music in any anime ever.

That music makes DBZ whole. It adds suspense, tension, it gives the anime some fucking soul. Don't believe me? Try listening to the Dragon Theme next time there's a thunderstorm outside and watch the lightning.

Ketchup is better than mustard.

GUI is better than Command Line Interface.

Dubs are better than subs
