well, I'm sure if they were 2 separate pieces of plastic that it would get through (since all they'd see is an IR blaster in one suit case, and a little button trigger in another. It'd probably best to wait for the plane to take off before putting it together though (though it could still cause massive panic lol). The better solution would be to just have a handle with the barrel cut off to avoid the whole issue to begin with if you really wanted it on a plane.

Yeah the whole issue is that it is weapon shaped. If you have a not gun/weapon shaped one then they probably wouldn't care so much.
