Anyone Used Classic Shell?

I just thought yall would like to know.

I installed it on my mother's "new" laptop and I noticed no difference in speed. She has a 240gb ssd from Sandisk and it runs screaming fast compared to her old laptop which was using DDR2 Mem. and some old 2.5" that was barely full.

 

SHE LOVES IT!!! Oh how that made things so much better for her... and for me! ;)

Has anyone used the classic shell on windows 8.1? What do you think? Has it caused any issue or slowness? What is startup like?

No, not really, I use it all the time. Then again I have an m.2 ssd so idk.

Hmm sounds convincing.

 

I don't want to do Win 10, one- stick it to them and refuse to use it until I have to, and two because of the data collecting. It is none of their business. I am having to get a new motherboard so I thought I would see what people thought before struggling to stick with Win 7 or go with Win 8.1. I have all three (Win 7, 8.1, 10)

I use Startisback++ in Windows 10, which is the same type of program, and haven't noticed any slowdown.
