Wich GTX 1070 to buy?

Hi guys!

I'm planning to build PC using:

- i5 7600k

- Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO

- MSI Z270-a pro

- Samsung EVO 850

- WD Blue 1TB

- Hyperx 8 gb 2133 1 stick

- Gtx 1070

- CASE nzxt s340

- PSU - give me best value psu for this build

I have 2 options

MSI GTX 1070 AERO - £348

or

MSI GTX 1070 gaming X - £416

So Its worth it to pay extra money for Gaming X or not cuz i would like to save some money?

You can also let me know what you think about this cooler.

An air cooled GPU cools better then a blower style card but for £78 not sure if its worth.

How much money do you have left for PSU?

My own build: RΛZΞR theme

CPU: Intel Core i5 7600K // CPU cooler: Cryorig H7 // Motherboard: MSI Z270 gaming pro carbon //

Gaming X definitely, it is always worth it to get a good performance in cooling

I'd say time travel back a couple of days and grab the MSI 1070 Quick silver for 311 from the Amazon (UK) prime daily deal :D

On a side note, feelsbadman that you missed out literally a "reskinned" gaming x at a lower price than even the aero :/

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

Very happy with my AMP extreme, though any custom card would be fine (Gaming X would be much better than the Aero though with cooling). Would recommend R5 over the i5, 550W would be enough (G2/G3, RMi/RMx would be great).

Please quote our replys so we get a notification and can reply easily. Never cheap out on a PSU, or I will come to watch the fireworks.

IS that the only 2 options you have?

The cooler is for budget build, there are alternatives that doesn't cost much more and performs better

I would also get R5 1600 instead

Corsair CX450M should be cheap and good PSU

Gaming X is definitely better.

Maybe check Amazon tomorrow evening or Tuesday, who knows they might have a good deal on a 1070 because of Prime day.

I've read all of your answers guys and i see a lot of you telling me to get R5 1600 so if you can make me full build using this cpu (or even better Ryzen if you think Its worth it) with all parts with Gtx 1070 gaming x.

PS: I already have RAM and SSD from build above. I bought them really at good prices.

Could you like tell me more about these ryzen cpus Why do you recomend them?

Thanks

Overall they are able to provide better 1% and 0.1% low (fps) numbers albeit at the cost of  lower avg fps numbers (and yes, 1% and 0.1% is technically more important)

Something like the 1600 (or 1700) already has a cooler that you can OC with (and still keep it sub 70C and quiet)

Consumes less power and runs cooler than Intel equivalents (r7 1700 and 1700x, both 8c16t consumes less power than the 4c8t 7700K)

In that case, I'd recommend to come back later and ask us again when you have all the money :D
