Help me please, i have no clue what has happened.

THis happened while i was stress-testing my W520 laptop. Please tell me a way to find out EXACTLY what happened. Thanks

Seems the cpu over heated so it stopped the test. 

 

I also want to ask about that wallpaper, but at the same time.. Nah..

i was only testing the CPU. How do i test the GPU independently from the rest of the system?

it may have overheated to a dangerous point and became unstable Linus has seen this in the past

Last time it dangerously overheated tho, it just SHUT OFF. like, no warning. i'm not saying you're wrong, im just curious why its acting differently now.

use furmark. that will really stress the gpu. Furmark is prob the max stress any program can put on a gpu. or 100 instances of minecraft :P

did you attempt to overclock the CPU before you ran the test? if so, it's not a stable overclock.

 

also don't use furmark...ever

Ok, so I replaced the thermal coupound...

 

ITS FIXED

 

i also almost murdered my GPU while I was at it :D
