My build is below. Would you guys change anything? I already own the case and cooler, and my budget is around 1200$ but I will go cheaper if possible. Not doing Ryzen or buying used

Traumatic*

I know many people who like amd but I also know many who have had a bad experience with them and find that i5 is better. I made my verdict and decided intel, not and aha. Now if there's a i7 I could squeeze in please let me know

I wanted a i7, plus I already have a cooler that's not compatible with AMD so ya ?

buy a new cooler or Ryzen 1600 has a cooler in the box.

I already stated I dont want anything to do with Ryzen. Im more interested in i7's as I figured I could budget in a little more.

@RedScorpion one you cant find a cpu to be better, cpus are clearly benchmarked and proven one better than the other, but ok if you want to go i5-7600k route i wont stop you just make sure you get a z270 board for overclocking, also the 6700 is a good cpu, its the same as the 6700k with the only difference being it does not support overclocking

ryzen is amazing, if you wanna be the fool who gets the i5, you will regret it in 1-2 years when ur CPU is struggling to run new games.

the 6800k is a cpu that i would definitly reccomend to you, its on par with the ryzen cpu we keep reccomending and it is an i7 allthough it is kind of expensive it would make a great cpu for this build if you insist you wont use ryzen

Not doing Ryzen

Get off that fanboy mentality. Intel i5's are horrible value and not worth considering unless you have the board already and coming from a Pentium/i3

My 2500k was legendary, the 6700k an awesome chip in good hands with my girlfriend. The 1600 build I use now is solid and no way was I going to drop $300 for a slightly boosted 6700k with toothpaste TIM or grab a quadcore in 2017.
