There are valid reasons for not using ryzen, you just haven't given any.

Don't forget that R5 1600 costs less, doesn't need a cooler and B350 doesn't cost a premium like Z270. Me and @nerdslayer1 can go all day talking about how Ryzen is better

1) @nerdslayer1 last I knew it was against policy to be making accusations of fanboying. I agree whole heartedly that Ryzen would be the MUCH better value for his money.

2) @RedScorpion If the most intensive thing you are going to be doing with your computer is playing video games, then Intel has a performance lead. Otherwise, Ryzen slaughters everything Intel has at the same pricepoint or lower. An overclocked R7 1700 gives just about the same performance as a 6900k at about a third the price. Again, for gaming, Intel is the way to go. For anything else, Ryzen is the much better buy

Like I said, I dont want to get a 1600 as I already made my decision towards intel. I do appreciate all your guys pushing to get me to use AMD but with me already having parts on the way, im not in the position to afford different

In that case the 1600(X) is the price to performance king for what you do. It doesn't quite get as high framrates, but they are also more stable with tighter frame times. For editing, the extra cores and threads are definately things you can benifit from. The 1600 non-x comes with a decent and quiet cooler that can get you a mild OC.

Don't open them, return anything you don't need. Stop being silly.

Nope. Its a brand new unopened Hyper 212 Evo

so whats ur budget? how is a $20 cooler stopping you from getting a 1600?

RR-AM4B-H212-S1 is a ryzen bracket for it.

since it's never been opened, it may be easier to sell if you are really that unhappy with the orientation. In addition, how is it odd?

it was opened but the only thing used was the thermal compound. I dont know why only that but hey
