OnePlus 3 vs Honor 8!

Some of you may say that OP3 is the obvious choice. But the Honor 8 has some points that I really prefer : Better camera, better looks, a microSD slot.

Although the OP3 has much smoother performance and near stock experience, the Honor 8 shouldn't be much slower either.

 

What do you think?

honor 8, one plus has a history of bad customer support, you could buy an honor 8 from a local store.

I am an owner of the honor 8 (blue) and had a oneplus x before that so this hits home to me.

for 1 if you want to root and get a custom ROM, get the oneplus 3, the current version of EMUI 5 doesn't like being rooted and will break the camera and NFC. If you are using it without root or a custom ROM ITS GREAT, just so long as you don't want to use VR. There is a current bug (which I have now too) with EMUI 5 which completely breaks VR applications. all other uses of the gyro and accelerometer are fine, it's just VR stuff that is broken. Other than that it beats the oneplus 3 in nearly every category for the average user. it has expandable storage (for me this was a big plus as I have the 32 gig model and could expand using an existing sd card I had from my oneplus x. It has fast charging and I can get about a day's worth of video watching out of this phone. If you do get it, I would say if you dont need VR, then update to the latest version, if VR is a big thing for you then stay on EMUI 4 where it still works. Oh and get a different launcher, the one it comes with is like the iphone where it puts everything on the home screen. Plus, get a screen protector, its not nessasary but there is a video by JerryRigEverything who showed that the screen of the honor 8 isnt as scratch resistant as something like the Oneplus3, but nothing too bad that it REQUIRES one. I know I sound really negative but dont think the phone is bad I've had the phone for almost a month now and it really is great.

can't exactly put it on a scale, in short not very good, you can hear lots of horror stories from people, they are like razer of Android phones, on paper it looks good but in practice, they have issues.

Better than it was before, All the "horror stories" and shit are old. People are just exaggerating it now, It really isn't' that bad anymore. Up to asus IMO asus RMA's are still bad but the CS has improved

Honor 8 is probably the better also Huawei has done something to their OS so the phone should not get slower over time. (in theory)

No love for the Axon 7? I'd say it's better than both. The Honor is ok, but IIRC it doesn't have Gorilla Glass. Isn't the Honor 9 supposed to be a similar price?
