RX550 4gb is it worth?

Hello,
so no stock of RX cards and there are only stocks of 550 and 560
i saw in nicehash profitability rx550 is in the list and makes about 1.35usd
so if i have no choice i'll go with that. but the problem is i did not see any article or forum talking about rx550 for mining or is it stable or whatsoever.
so anyone here is using 550 or have tried it? is it good? TY

For gaming no as it's not designed for gaming as it's an equivalent to the GT 1030 which is also not designed for gaming. For anything else though it should be fine.

It gives an average of 10MH/s on Ethereum. Less than half than a 570, for less than half price.. but, the time it will take to mine a block or just 1ETH using them is so long (and probably would require many GPUs at the same time) that it is totally not worth it.

Consider that at the moment with a 27MH/s RX580 you need about 3 months to get ONE ethereum. And the time increases very fast because of diff increase.

but wouldn't you wanna use a more powerful card for actual 3d work?

but seriously, Hardware Unboxed just posted a video today, as mining gets more difficult the Polaris line of cards get progressively WORSE hashrates where Nvidia actually maintains the same performance (except for the 1080), the fact the miners haven't bought up the cheaper cards like the 550's and instead are willing to pay 700 bucks for a 580 should tell you how low the ROI is on the entry level cards.

but for that you probably need a better GPU too, also no, there is no way that simple 3d textures need more than a few hundred megs.
