Had the hardware sitting here so why not, I really dont expect to make a lot but if it makes me anything than its worth it.

Forgot how hot this 290X gets even with the beefy cooler.

Hooray! Sensible miner! (Me happy you aren't buying 6+ cards for mining!) Yeah, you should be able to break even at least, especially if you undervolt and such. If it's decent, maybe pick up an extra 290X and see how they perform in Crossfire. It'd be handy for games as well.

Haven't mined in ages, but I wish you much luck!

 

Don't mind miners who mine with equipment laying around as opposed to those who snatch up cards in bulk creating shortages and inflation.

Totally agree. As long as you only pick up a card or two or use ones you have lying around, then you're good. My main beef is with peeps who buy 6 cards or something crazy for a currency that'll probs only be profitable for a few months.

This. I was able to make about the same amount as the OP per day but $1 of it went to my electric bill before cooling. The noise and heat wasn't worth $3/day for me. :(
