Do you name your PC?

I call it "mine" and I call my other computer "the other one". I call my laptop "junk"

I always call my main computer Talyn (after the Farscape ship) due to it being very powerful but highly self-destructive

Plus it helps distinguish it on the network.

I've got:

Project Enza - X99 build for gaming and workstation tasks. Continually getting upgrades, will never drop the Project designation for just that reason.

Kahza - 4460 in an Fractal None 202 w/ 1070, namely for HTPC and emulation

Emo Panda - Surface Pro 4 for art and work

Jazz and Lucy - my Galaxy S8 twins

And The Old Man of a Thousand names - my old A10 build that got a new name with every major update to it.

Out of the blue, I named my laptop Mark.

I give my computer a name for the network, but I don't "name" it. I call it "my computer."

I've decided to start naming my PC's now.

 

The theme will be the Tau'ri ships from Stargate!

In all seriousness, no, I don't... It's a computer, not a living being. Other than calling it by the name of the parts/case or just plain "PC/Computer", I don't understand people giving little pet names to their machines.

The only "official" name it has, is for the network, and even there, it's something like "LR_PC" for Living Room PC.

I cringe at the idea. Network names are Desktop and a random number Windows generates, Media, Workstation, etc.

Future super workstation upgrade = Paznos (Dark Cloud 2)

Server = Tuki (from shantae 1/2 genie hero)

 

I name all my computers characters from games that I super like.

I have blue led fans in mine. Thinking that BlueScreen would be a good name

I do, the same thing every time.  Once my old machine dies I clone it and migrate. I think their is a philosophical statement in there somewhere.
