They offered me some $70 off the product, should I go with them or stick with Malwarebytes?

What about neither. Stick with windows defender and know what to install and not install. ;-p

I like to have an anti virus as a piece of mind, I used to be ass at knowing what to install and not to install. I'm very good now, but those days with thousands of viruses still scar me. :/

I found Bitdefender, even the free one, to be very good in my experience with the program. It's very light on system resources, though not a lot of customisation in terms of settings or anything. Just set it and forget it. Sure it's not a solve all solution but it's done the job quite well in my opinion.

Not actually the database software, just some furry. Vintage tech enthusiast, has more old tech than they know what to do with.
