But, beside for the high-end model, doesn't Sony uses Sharp panels? I mean Sharp from Japan, actual Sharp company. I mean its fine, but to my knowledge Sharp panels are good, but not great, you mostly pay for the Sony name.

I doubt they have much of a case. 

 

Once they sold their name rights, I don't see why they should have anything to say about the quality of TVs sold by someone else, assuming there's no clause that HiSense is forbidden to damage the brand name.

It depends on the contract, and if they really are selling illegal TV's or falsely advertising then they have a case.
