Ideas for New Build?

Hey Guys! :3

 

I'm planning to upgrade some of my hardware as I am a Games Art student at university, so I need some pretty beefy hardware as you would expect for programs/renders.

 

My current build is decent, but I need to upscale quite considerably, plus I want to upgrade some parts that could be seen as unnecessary, but I did build this 3-4 years ago.

 

Current Hardware:

 

  • Intel Core i5-3550k (Overclocked to 4.2GHz)
  • ASROCK Z77 Extreme4 Motherboard
  • 16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 RAM
  • GEFORCE® GTX 1070 Graphics Card.
  • Corsair H50i Water Cooler
  • Samsung 840 EVO 120GB SSD
  • Western Digital 1TB HDD

Planned Upgrades:

 

  • Asus - ROG STRIX X99 GAMING ATX LGA2011-3 Motherboard
  • Intel - Core i7-5820K 3.3GHz 6-Core Processor
  • Corsair - H100i 77.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
  • Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory (Would buy another 16GB when affordable).

 

So these are the parts I have selected so far, be sure to let me know if you would change anything or any reccomendations.

I would recommend a R5 1700 paired with a X370 motherboard instead if you benefit from more cores.

a 1700 would probobly be better, also that motherboard is nice but does come at an expensive premium compaired to other mobos
