Soo guys I need help with my rig, what's your opinion on the following items?( maybe over-clocking, still a newb)

My budget is like 2000, so keep that in mind

Case:Thermaltake Chaser MK-1

CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K Quad-Core Desktop Processor 3.4 GHZ LGA 1150 8 MB Cache BX80646I74770

RAM:Vengeance® — 16GB Dual Channel DDR3 Memory Kit (CMZ16GX3M2A2400C10)

SSD: Kingston HyperX 3K SH103S3/240G 2.5" 120GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) (Stand-Alone Drive)

HDD:?

MotherBoard:( was thinking the Asus ROG rampage IV extreme)?

Powersupply:?

Cooling: RayStorm 750 AX240 WaterCooling Kit( opinion?)

Thermal compound: IC diamond

GPU: MSI Computer Corp. Video Graphics Card N770 LIGHTNING

What do you mean by "it's you again", of course it's me again!

Case is ugly

Too much RAM for gaming, also just get 1600Mhz

Just get a 1TB or 2TB Seagate Barracuda for bulk storage they are inexpensive.

No to that motherboard because you didn't get a 4770k you only picked a 4770 which cannot overclock. Get a cheaper motherboard

WHERE IS YOUR GPU??

If you aren't going for dual GPU's get a nice 550-600W 80+ PSU from XFX, Seasonic, or Corsair if you plan on getting two GPU's get a 700w or more 80+ PSU from the same companies I mentioned before.

Watercooling is unnecessary for a non-k CPU that you don't intend on overclocking till it cries. Get something like a Noctua NH-D14(also it comes with a tube of NT-H1 which is better than IC Diamond)

Case: Subjective so we can´t really recommend you something here, but I am hardcore Corsair fanboy :)

CPU: Get the "K" version of that CPU. You would want a cooler (H100i i.e) as well and over clock it in order to get the most awesome performance you can :)

RAM: It is also subjective (to a degree) so just get the RAMn that fits your style/requirements for speed7latency/timings :)

SSD: I would go Samsung EVO here since it is generally one of the best SSDs out there and is great value :)

HDD: Sorry, but I hate HDDs so I don´t know anything about them :(

Mobo: You can´t get that mono with your chosen CPU so I would get the Z87 board which suits your needs/style/budget and offers your required features :)

PSU: Depends on your budget (could you please state your budget), but if you want the best then go for a "i" version Corsair AX series PSU :)

Cooling: i have no idea, but I would not recommend water cooling if you don´t know exactly what you are doing...

Tim: That is a good one so good choice :)

GPU: Are you not going to get a video card for this build?

Hope I helped :)

Case: It's a personal thing, pick something that you like the looks of and has the features you want (front USB3, drivebays for the bay/res, rad spots).

CPU: What's the Rig for? You may want to start with an i5-4670K or FX-8350, that is unless you want to do some highly threaded CPU tasks. To overclock an intel CPU, you'll require a K series CPU (4770K, 4670K, 4820K etc.)

Motherboard: Ensure that it matches the socket for the CPU, The ROG Rampage series are for Intel Socket 2011, the Maximus is Intel Socket 115X (the haswell socket) and Crosshair is for AM3+ (I think). ROG are generally overkill and aimed at enthusiast and multi-GPU arrangements.

Ram: Vengeance is quality RAM, go 8GB for gaming/general PC, 16GB+ for editing or coding etc. With RAM prices so high, try not to overbuy here. Also look for dual channel kits. Try and get low profile series vengeance to maximise compatibility with CPU coolers :)

GPU: If you want to game you'll need one of these, pick a budget, then go check out benchmarks for the cards in that budget for the games you like.

SSD: Anything really, I personally run an Intel SSD however anything from Sandisk, Plextor, Crucial or Samsung is a go. Try to stretch that budget for a 180GB or 250GB SSD, you'll be surprised how quickly you run out of space.

HDD: Seagate Barracuda, 2TB is generally the best Price/Performance, however a 1TB is really cheap these days and more than enough for most people.

PSU: For a single GPU, 550W its enough, but buy quality, Silverstone, Corsair, Antec and Seasonic (they OEM a lot of other PSUs too) are my go to brands. Just check Johnny Guru for a review.

Cooling: If you plan to overclock, try a CM Hyper 212 Evo or Noctua NH-D14, I've had experience with the latter and its a beast, kept my i5 chilly with a huge overclock and was dead silent. Avoid All in One 'Liquid Coolers' as they are generally far louder than their Air counterparts.

Good luck with buying :)

CPU: upgrade to a 4770K if you want to overclock

Motherboard: IMPORTANT: The socket isn't compatible with the CPU. Choose the Maximus VI Hero if you want something from ASUS RoG. An "Extreme" board way too overkill for your needs. Especially if you are new to PCs.

RAM: Go with 1600MHz instead. I don't know what you are gonna play, but go with 8 GB instead, and save some money. You can always add more later.

GPU: IMPORTANT: YOU CANNOT GAME WITHOUT A GPU. Well you can, but not BF4 or something like that. More like flash games on Facebook. I'd say go with a 780, when you're on that budget.

HDD: Western Digital Green or Black. If you only want to game, you only need 1 TB.

SSD: Samsung 840 EVO. I am not building with one myself, but everything is more expensive in Denmark. But it's a great SSD. Like... Great...

Powersupply: Around 550 to 750 watts.

Cooling: Custom waterloop is not something a gamer needs. Unless he REALLY, like REALLY wants his PC to be expensive and good looking. Go with the Corsair H100i instead. Again you are new to PCs so go with something simple and easy.

Thermal compound: Comes with H100i.

What's the system being used for?

Do you need a copy of Windows or peripherals or just the system?

I'd still say that the motherboard is way too overkill. And you do not need a custom water-cooling loop, if you are not doing any serious over clocking on your PC.

tbh with most haswell chips you can't do any serious overclocking :(
