I have not seen a single post on this forum advising against an i7 Unless:

- An R5 would allow a better GPU for their budget

- They also do some kind of workstation/content creation making the 1600/1700 a more well rounded purchase for all their needs.

Holy shit yes

This is the golden comment to solve the thread.

In most cases, the 7700(K) is better than Ryzen in gaming today, although the day-one benchmarks the OP posted show Ryzen as disproportionally behind.

However, since Ryzen offers nearly-identical performance as a lower price, it's almost always worth it to buy a Ryzen, and get a better GPU. Tech Dudes like Ryzen because it allows for more of a build budget to be spent on a GPU. If someone wants to game at 144Hz, I'm confident that no experienced forum user would recommend anything other than a 7700K

also, a Ryzen 1600 is basically the same as a 1700 for gaming, since games don't use 8c/16t anyway.

No one should have to delid a cpu because a billion dollar company couldn't be assed to use better cooling material haha

While I agree with you it shouldn't be near compulsory (and is quite frankly disgusting that they aren't soldering X299 when they did solder X99) they actually can't solder Kaby Lake due to the die size. They should however improve their thermals in other ways like addressing the amount of adhesive used, better QA etc

Only a fanboy can defend a 7700k as the Intel gaming chip with the 6700k being a better choice if gaming is the only focus on the Intel side.

Don't forget that the 7700K can also improve your love life and get you a raise while any one of the ryzens will cause your girlfriend to turn into a pig and you'll lose your job.

You really need to calm down mate. Its everyones personal opinion on what brand thay want to buy. Its all up to your current needs and price. Maybe for you, intel is the superior company. For me, amd may be the superior company. Ist just nVidia vs AMD again, but this time with processors. Please just delete the tread yourself. And if you knew it was offensive, why did you begin it anyway, it doesnt make any sense. Next time, just tell your friend or your dad or something, and don't whine about it on the forums.

You're lucky the mods are asleep or else you would be in big trouble.
