Desktop from yard sale glitching

Go to solution Solved by computerace,

i had a similar issue with a school PC i was working on. we had added more RAM not realizing it was incompatible. it was causing the screen to spaz out with white text as well, although not in an identical way.

try taking out some ram and see if that works

So I just bought this desktop from a yard sale because it was 10 bucks, and knew if worst came to worst I could take it apart and scrap the functioning parts. I tried booting it but it came up with this weird screen full of brackets, image, and video attached. I unplugged my hard drive and it still did it, anyone know why this happens or how to fix it?

It looks like the motherboard is screwed.
